The first mention of Clubhouse Filling Station found is an advertisement in 'Wisconsin Light' newspaper (volume 10-issue 18) reading "Coming Soon", and refering to "The house with the mouse on top". (This refers to a large fiberglass mouse mounted on top of the building, readily visible on the east side frontage road of I-94.)

Otherwise, very little is known about this bar. It was apparently some sort of "complex", with some advertisements reading simply "Clubhouse Filling Station", and others also using the term "Club Capers Illusions" as a dance bar. There is also one photo of a 'Ms Gay WI USofA Pageant' held at Capers/ Illusions in 1999.

Further research is needed to determine open and closing periods.

More information about this business is welcomed from anyone who can contribute it.
