Sam's was owned by Sam. The bar hosted the Sunday Night Satin Shows, put on by S&M Productions (Mabel Kane, Sass DuBois, and Rosa Rivera).

The bar closed in May 1984; Sam was rumored to be tired of the bar business, and moving to Phoenix.
