The Shelter Club was a fairly popular Green Bay LGBT destination for about 12 years. opening in 2004 in a nondescript building, largely lacking effective signage (see photos), it waas nevertheless a popular dance bar, show venue, and restaurant.

Then on April 27,2017, the following appeared on the bar's Facebook page:

RUMMAGE SALE!! Who knew how much one could collect over the last 12 years?! Yikes!! Rummage Sale Saturday Afternoon! Odds and ends, kitchen supplies, bar glasses/supplies, DJ equipment/ lighting, fixtures, and more! Saturday afternoon from noon to 5pm. 730 N Quincy Street. Please tell your friends and share!! Xoxo

Several customers posted their surprise of the bar's closing. We hope to one day learn of the circumstances.
