The Something Different bar on N. Teutonia was originally basically straight, or at most somewhat mixed, when the business was transferred to the owners daughter, Kim, in December 1987. Kim, a lesbian, "officially" made it a mixed gay/lesbian bar (In Step Steppin Out, v4-i22). That article says "The mixed (Gay/Straight) bar on North Teutonia offers live jazz two nights a week, and live blues one night a week. They have a full service kitchen, and offer fantastic Friday Fish Fry's."

More information about this business is welcome from anyone who can contribute same.
