Vuk's Place was a friendly neighborhood-type bar on the near south side by owner Tom. Holding its Grand Opening in December 1992 (In Step, Steppin Out, v9-i25), Vuk's had a loyal but relatively small following, but had its share of problems as well. There were some parking problems, and at one point a dispute over the liquor license caused the bar to be closed for a short time, being reopened as "Vuk's II". But it was unable to maintain an adequate clientele to remain viable, and closed after just a few years.
