Paul DeMarco was active in various community organizations and businesses. He moved to Milwaukee to manage the local Club Bath from the time it opened in July 1974.

Once in Milwaukee, Paul became very active in the community. He served as President of the Gay Peoples Union (1980), secretary of the Business Association of Milwaukee (BAM), served on the board of the Cream City Business Association, was a member of the Coalition to Oust Police Chief Henry Brier, and treasurer of the Human Rights Political Action Committee of Wisconsin.

Paul was a native of Palmyra, New Jersey. He did a stint in the Army during which time he traveled to Germany. Prior to arriving in Milwaukee, he began working with the Club Bath Chain in Philadelphia, relocating here to open the local Club Bath.

Paul died in his sleep on November 4, 2008. He was only 60. He was survived by partner Joseph Pfiffner.
